Last week, Ilanot boys had an overnight. We started out with a 30-minute hike through the woods with Ariel and the Mishlachat. Ariel told us scary stories and said “Aboo!” and was trying to scare us as we hiked. It was very intense. After the hike, we had a barbecue with hot dogs, hamburgers, and s’mores. We sang songs around the campfire and heard stories from our counselors and division heads. We had curfew at 9:30 and hung out in our very cozy tents, telling stories until we fell asleep. The tents were a little rocky… We never missed our camp beds so much! We woke up very early to daven Vatikin Shacharit, and we were very happy to sleep in our bunks the next night, to say the least.
We are so excited to go on our Lake George Trip tomorrow! We are leaving camp at 2:30 in the morning and are looking forward to hiking, white water rafting, ropes course, bowling and Go-Karting! Can’t wait!
