Camp Morasha was a sea of blue and white yesterday as we celebrated Yom Yisrael. Campers learned all about different parts of Israel at various stations, including a fast-paced trivia competition, a shuk with pita and watermelon, an Israeli army activity and a lesson on Israel heroes. A special “Escape the Room” experience kept campers and staff on their toes as they deciphered clues and cracked codes about Operation Thunderbolt to find the keys to escape the room. The dining room was adorned with decorations and Hebrew signs, Israeli music was playing throughout the campuses, and we also enjoyed delicious blue and white cookies at lunch. The day’s festivities were capped off by an inspiring Tekes in the Mercazia, which ended with the entire camp singing Hatikvah together. Special thanks to Ariel Cohen and his Mishlachat team, as well as our educational staff, who spent hours planning and coordinating the day’s special events!
