Week Two has been a jam-packed whirlwind of fun so far. We started off on a high note on Motzei Shabbos as we were treated to a beautiful musical Havdalah with Mordechai Shapiro, followed by a rocking concert and Melave Malka.
On Monday, girls campus enjoyed “It’s About Time: It’s Show Time.” Four teams — ABC, CBS, Fox and NBC — competed in challenges based on TV shows, including Chopped, Project Runway, Fear Factor and the Amazing Race. The “season finale” featured team presentations at night with music, fashion, and dance-offs on America’s Got Talent, Extreme Makeover, The Voice and more. Meanwhile, boys campus competed in FIFA, with 48 teams representing different countries, from Aruba to Zimbabe. Campers proudly wore their team’s colorful socks and played soccer matches all day, culminating in the championships, where great sportsmanship was displayed by all.
Tuesday, we celebrated July 4th, decked out in red, white and blue for America’s birthday, with a festive BBQ and dazzling fireworks display over the lake. Next up was Purim in July / Topsy Turvy Day, where we got creative with wacky costumes and enjoyed delicious hamentashen. Night activities are also underway, with campers having a blast at capture the counselor, pool parties, human bingo, madlibs and dodgeball, to name just a few. We’ve also been practicing and perfecting our songs and harmonies for Shiria next week! Can’t wait for Trip Day tomorrow at Dorney Park!
