We greeted a record 794 campers on Sunday for what promises to be an amazing season! Opening festivities began on a high note with a special concert by music star Mordechai Shapiro. The excitement was palpable in the Mercazia as each division cheered, sang and danced, while watching a video recapping last summer and our fondest Morasha memories. We also had icebreakers, met our division heads and got psyched for an awesome summer!
Our first full day of camp coincided with July 4. Decked out in red, white and blue, campers competed in a Panoply competition and enjoyed a delicious BBQ capped off by a dazzling fireworks show. Regular activities were in full swing, with sports, swim, rock climbing, art, baking, horseback riding, gaga and more. Night activities were also off to a great start, with pool parties and army nights setting the tone for a summer of non-stop fun!
